Happy Birthday, Choji!

If a growing boy is indeed always hungry, then today, Choji will eat even more than usual. Though these days, it’s his courage and determination that seem to be just as large as his appetite (rather than his cowardice – remember when he only wanted to run away from the Sound Ninja way back during the Chunin Exams?)



We all knew Choji had what it took after we watched him take on the biggest guy in the Sound Ninja Four – Jirobo. Almost dying to save your crew will lend you some serious Ninja cred. But it’s in Shippuden where we finally get to see Choji being a valued part of the team.

It was sad. I actually thought he died in that episode. The song was sad. I was tearing up.
